If your insurance is not listed above or you would rather not use your insurance to pay for services, you may choose my “self-pay” options.
If you’re following my standard rate schedule, I can provide a superbill (i.e. itemized receipts of services) for you, by request, at the end of each month for you to submit to your insurance company for any reimbursement for sessions that you have already paid for.
I cannot guarantee approval or reimbursement for any claims by your insurance provider.

Questions to Consider Asking Your Insurance Provider:
What are my out-of-network benefits for mental health services?
Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network?
What is my yearly deductible? How much of my deductible has been met at this time?
Once I meet my deductible, how much coverage will I have for mental health services?
How do I submit superbills for reimbursement?
Need help with using your out-of-network benefits?
I have partnered with Mentaya to help clients use their out-of-network benefits to save money on therapy. This is solely a resource for you. I do not benefit from you using it or not.
Here's how it works:
Sign up for Mentaya: https://mentaya.co/inviteclient/k6wtJIzEcW1LSNx5wxTJ
I will enter your sessions into the platform.
Mentaya submits the claim and handles any insurance follow-up.
You get reimbursed by insurance!
Mentaya charges a 5% fee per claim, which includes handling any paperwork required, dealing with denials, and calling insurance companies. They guarantee claims are successfully submitted, or a full refund of their fees.
I require at least 48 hours notice to cancel a scheduled appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment or do not show up, that will be considered a late cancellation as well. Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged the cost of session.*
You will not be able to schedule another appointment if you have a pending balance.
*I allow each of my clients 2 late cancellations per calendar year, for any reason, with no late cancellation fee charged. Beyond that, you will be charged a late cancellation fee (i.e. equivalent to the cost of your session).
Please note: Insurance generally does not cover late cancellation fees and so, if you are using your insurance and have a “late cancellation” or “no-show,” you will be responsible for paying the full cost of session, at the current standard rate. I highly recommend confirming with your specific insurance policy if/how much coverage they offer for no shows/late cancellations.

Hi, I’m Gina. It’s an honor to meet you.
Gina Li, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)/ Therapist, California
I am a licensed mental health therapist based in the Bay Area, who specializes in helping young adults, Asian Americans, and caregivers throughout California, navigate the effects of estrangement so that they can live truly more fulfilling lives. This can look like being more gentle with ourselves and others, while also setting boundaries as needed. It can also look like gaining greater self-awareness and true confidence. In summary, this looks like learning how to stay grounded in who we genuinely are and who we genuinely want to be.
